About Me

Hello! I am Taylor Humphrey, and I'm currently a junior at Auburn University, studying Early Childhood Education. I am from Huntsville, Alabama a.k.a The Rocket City! Ever since I was a young girl, I dreamed of being a teacher and leading a classroom of students to success.To get a better understanding of who I am, and why I'm passionate about teaching, I have put together an acrostic poem using my name.

Teacher: Teaching others has always been a passion of mine. Whether it's school related, or something fun like teaching my friends new makeup tricks; I love being the person that educate others.

Academic: I truly have a passion for learning and helping others learn. I value academics and getting an education because it is the foundation for having a brighter future.

Yearning For Success: I believe that success is subjective. Personally, I think being successful means being happy and surrounded by people who love you. That is something I strive for every day. In the future, I hope to provide my students with the happiness and love that will make them successful as well.

Leader: Strong leadership skills is vital to being an effective teacher. Being involved in organizations like United Way and tutoring at The Boys and Girls Club has taught me so much about leading through serving others.

Obliging: I'm always ready to help others. I believe that true happiness comes from making other people happy.

Ready for the future: I can't wait to finally become a teacher. Knowing that I will be responsible for shaping the minds of future leaders is so exciting.

A Girl's Best Friend

I have a 17-year-old maltese named Baylee. I've had her since I was in first grade. Her hobbies include eating, sleeping and, getting belly rubs!

Every Monday I help students with their homework and study for tests. The time I spend with these students is the highlight of my week and has made me even more eager to become a teacher.

Music Lover

I began playing the violin when I was eight-years-old. I love music, and truly believe that being able to play an instrument has a positive influence on a student's academic success.
